3. Learn my Multiplication up to 12 so I can recite them off by heart. How I will do this is recite them like I can recite the alphabet aerobics. I will do this for 10 minutes everyday too.

Camp reflection.

W.A.L.T. upload our camp reflection and write about it on a blog.

Today we had to reflect on the year five and six camp. As above you can clearly see my reflection and why I like/enjoyed it. Last week we went to Aroha island with Kereru. We went to camp so we can experience the nature and what it is like  to be a part of fun experiences and learning. We did alot of fun activities like walking, kayaking, sleeping, Kiwi spotting but my personal favourite was eating.

Have you ever been to Aroha Island?
Do you want to see a Kiwi?

MaItAi BaY bRoChUrE

W.A.L.T: Create and upload a blog post on our inquiry task that we have been working on.

For inquiry our class has been learning to create brochures about Maitai Bay. About two weeks ago I made a brochure about Maitai bay with Peyton. We had to include some reasonable information about Maitai bay and the rahui that was placed there. Here is my brochure.

My Maitai Bay Brochure.

I learnt that Maitai bay has a rahui.

I enjoyed editing and finding information for the brochure

I could improve by adding more photos.

Have you ever been diving at Maitai bay?

Kiwi Can Lesson

W.A.L.T upload a post showing what we learnt in Kiwi Can today.

Today we had Kiwi Can. Our focus today was respect, the catchphrase that goes with it is : "We will respect our school we will do it because we're cool". We played two games, the games we played were called Snap, crackle and pop and So,ma,ca,lo. This is how you play Snap, crackle and pop; First you have to get into groups of three and decide who is going to be snap who's going to be crackle and same with pop. Today I was in a group with Mia and Sofia, Mia was crackle Sofia was pop and I was snap. Once you have sorted that out you have to get into a circle with the other groups then somebody has to yell out snap, crackle or pop for instance if they yelled out snap then the people that were snaps including me would have to run around the circle and the other two people would have to put their leg up and then snap would have to run under their legs and get what ever is in the middle of the circle the first person to get it gets a point the people with the most points at the end win! Here is a photo of us playing So, ma, ca, lo:

How I showed respect is not being a sore loser and having a fit.
I enjoyed playing these games because it is nice to run around and have fun.
I could improve on being more careful when running around because it is a hazard.
Have you ever played snap, crackle and pop before?

Trip to Te Puna Wai Ora pools.

Yesterday we went on a trip to Te Puna Wai Ora pools centre so we could learn how to snorkel. My favourite task that we did was when we had to go  under water with the snorkel, and the blow out the water like a whale! The reason we did this was because next Thursday we will be going to Maitai bay to explore the marine reserves for the Experiencing marine reserves program. Our instructor's name is Oliver, Oliver is preparing us for the Maitai bay trip so we can snorkel and discover the different types of fish.

What I learnt was to get all of my hair out of the mask otherwise it would leak.

What I enjoyed was going through the hoop under water.

My one goal is to hold my breath for longer.

Have you ever gone snorkelling?

Maori language scratch test.

I.A.L.T Upload and create a blog post about my scratch.

Yesterday with whaea Donna we made a scratch project to test peoples Maori language knowledge, here are the steps we had to use.

First we had to write down our questions

Then we had to look at some other scratch's to see some cool ideas.

Next we had to remix one of them and add the questions that we wrote down on the paper.

What did I enjoy?

What I enjoyed was finishing this task because it felt good to get all of the pressure off of my shoulders.

What did I find challenging?

What I found challenging was finding the perfect character for my scratch because it is hard to find one.

Click here to try it out.

Have you created a scratch before?

kiwi can

W.A.L.T Create and upload a blog post about our kiwi can lesson from today.

Today at Kiwi Can we played 5 games, I won't say all of them, but my favourite game was "peke peke". The word today was again Accountability. It means taking responsibility and ownership of you actions, the catchphrase was also the same as last time.. How the game went was that there would be somebody would call out peke and you had to jump in one of three different positions and if you jumped in the same positions as your partner you would have to say hei. If you said hei at the same time you had to do siccors ,paper, rock.

Reflection:

What did I enjoy?
What I enjoyed was learning the new games we haven't played before because it was funny.

What did I find challenging?
What I found challenging was reacting fast enough because it was being said too fast.

Do you like the sound on Peke Peke?
